Finding Mother chronicles the events that shaped one woman’s consciousness as she struggled to find spiritual meaning in the confines of suburban life and the myth of the American dream. As a modern liberated woman, she had to face the fact that she did not feel free, that she was dissatisfied, and far from understanding her intrinsic value as a woman, mother, and human being. In her search for answers, she journals her childhood and coming of age in the turbulent 1970’s, the divorce of her parents, and her experimentation with drugs.
